The malls feature several well-known department stores, several local clothing stores and an interesting mix of locally owned jewelry and accessory shops.

The malls also have an interesting selection of local stores that sell gourmet foods, clothing, furniture and novelties. As a result, travelers of all stripes and types can have fun exploring the East Side's shops and malls.

A shopping trip in Chicago is never complete without shopping at some of the stores that are located along State Street.
The State Street shopping district is located near Chicago's harbor. It features several fine clothing stores, furniture stores, and major department stores. Most State Street stores are open every day from about 9 AM to 10 PM. As a result, visitors can easily use Chicago's bus or train system to visit State Street's shops.

Furthermore, Chicago South Loop district has several stores that are fun to visit.
The South Loop district is located just east of the Kennedy Expressway. It features many locally owned art galleries, souvenir shops and jewelry stores that are located in some of Chicago's oldest buildings. Many of these stores are also easily accessible on foot or by train. Therefore, most visitors can also have fun exploring the area's historical homes and buildings as they browse through the area's stores.
